Tragedy has struck yet another Ugandan family as 27-year-old Teddy Namata was returned from Saudi Arabia in a coffin, ending her journey for a better life in heartbreak.
Teddy left for Riyadh in 2023 in search of greener pastures through a recruitment company. However, on May 1st, 2025, her body was flown back to Uganda under unclear circumstances.
According to the grieving family, the company has failed to give a clear explanation of what exactly led to her death—only adding to their pain and anger.
Namata now joins the growing list of Ugandans who travel to the Middle East in hopes of a better future, but sadly return home in caskets.
May her soul rest in peace.
