Ugandan celebrated artiste Bebe Cool continues to make major strides in his music career this season, with strategic moves that have captured attention across the country.
After successfully releasing the first two singles — Circumference and Motivation — off his upcoming album Break The Chains, and launching the Motivation Week campaign, Bebe Cool has now officially announced the album’s release date.
During a TikTok Live session on Friday, April 25th, with some of Uganda’s leading TikTokers, Bebe Cool revealed that Break The Chains will be officially dropping on Friday, May 30th, 2025.
This highly anticipated album marks a new chapter in Bebe Cool’s musical journey, blending his iconic style with fresh Afrobeats influences and raw storytelling
Fans first got a taste of this new direction with the release of Circumference, a song that surprised many with its new sound.
In various interviews, Bebe Cool has explained that his shift in musical style is aimed at aligning with current market trends, where Afrobeats now dominates the African music scene. He promises to share even more insights about the album in the coming days.
Describing it as a “new dawn,” Bebe Cool has broken away from the familiar by collaborating with a new wave of producers and engineers and tapping into Uganda’s growing Afrobeats talent, including artists like Joshua Baraka.
During the TikTok Live, Bebe Cool emphasized that many Ugandan artists have missed out on broader success because they are either too comfortable or unwilling to venture into new territories. With Break The Chains, he intends to lead by example — stepping into the unknown to motivate and inspire the next generation of Ugandan artists.
