Bebe Cool
Ugandan music heavyweight Bebe Cool has responded to critics who attacked him over his recent comments about influencing media airplay, calling them “slow thinkers.”
The controversy began last week during a TikTok live session, where Bebe Cool claimed to have strong connections with top media bosses, implying he could control which songs receive airplay.
His statement sparked outrage among fellow musicians and fans, who accused him of arrogance and attempting to monopolize the industry.

Despite attempting to clarify his remarks the next day, explaining that his words were misunderstood and urging artists to focus on quality music and smart investments, the backlash continued.
Speaking again over the weekend in an interview on Galaxy TV, Bebe Cool took a more assertive stance, dismissing his critics.
“The problem with Ugandans is they always focus on the negative instead of learning. I won’t waste my time on those that are slow. I’ll go with the fast thinkers,” he said.
The self-proclaimed “Big Size” artist maintained that his connections in the industry were not a secret and advised artists to concentrate on their craft rather than engaging in unnecessary debates.
