Ugandan rapper and producer Big Tril, famously known for the continental smash hit “Parte After Parte” has shared deep reflections about the realities of internet fame revealing that while viral success can come overnight, staying relevant in the long run is a much tougher battle.
Speaking in a recent interview, Big Tril admitted,
“It’s easy to go viral, but hard to maintain stardom. One hit can put you in the spotlight, but the real work begins when the hype starts to die down.”
“Parte After Parte” took Africa by storm in 2019, turning Big Tril into a household name and pop culture icon. But behind the memes and club bangers was a storm of pressure and sky-high expectations.
He revealed that after the viral wave, he needed to take a step back:
“I had to separate the hype from my purpose. Chasing trends will wear you out. I needed time to rediscover my sound.”
With platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels creating overnight stars, Big Tril’s story is a powerful reminder that sustainable success demands more than just going viral it takes vision, patience, and constant growth
Now, as he prepares for his next chapter, Big Tril says his focus has shifted from clout to impact:
“I’m not chasing virality anymore… I’m chasing legacy.”
