Media personality Caroline Marcah has stirred controversy with bold claims about how television jobs are secured in Uganda.
Marcah, who has worked with several top media houses including Spark TV, Bukedde TV, and currently Pearl Magic Television, alleges that many of the jobs in the industry are obtained through sexual favors.
According to Marcah, qualified and skilled individuals are often ignored in favor of those who offer sex in exchange for employment.
She pointed out that this has led to a decline in professionalism and integrity within the local media space.
“This industry is not about talent anymore. It’s sad that people sleep their way to jobs while those with real skills are left out,” she said.
Her statement has sparked heated debate online, with many agreeing that such practices are common but rarely spoken about publicly.
Others have urged media houses to address the allegations and take steps to promote fairness and transparency in recruitment.
