Lubowa Police Station turned into a war zone after an unexpected and violent confrontation between police officers and members of the Special Forces Command (SFC) left nine officers severely injured and hospitalized.
According to reports, the chaos began when SFC operatives stormed the station with over eight badly beaten suspects, reportedly involved in a robbery within the high-end Lubowa Estate. The suspects were in critical condition—unconscious, bleeding, and with broken limbs—which raised alarm among the police officers on duty.
When the SFC soldiers demanded that the suspects be detained immediately, a police officer hesitated, pointing out that it was unlawful to detain individuals who were in near-coma states. The Officer in Charge (OC) of the station, ASP Sunday, advised the soldiers to first take the suspects for medical treatment before any legal detention could proceed.
However, the SFC operatives rejected the advice and reportedly called their commanding officer, Lt. Amoo Samson. Within minutes, reinforcements from the SFC arrived, surrounded the police station, and launched a brutal attack on all officers present.

Witnesses say the uniformed men and women were beaten mercilessly—dragged, whipped, and battered, including the OC, who was reportedly left in tears. Nine police officers were left with serious injuries, including broken bones, deep cuts, and swollen faces.
The injured officers are currently receiving emergency treatment at Dr. Doctors Clinic in Seguku as investigations into the violent clash continue.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the matter.
