Veteran dancehall artist Buchaman has expressed deep regret over joining the NRM (National Resistance Movement), revealing that his experience in the party left him disappointed and frustrated.
Speaking out, Buchaman said the ruling party is “full of greedy people who frustrate genuine others,” claiming that his efforts to mobilize and unite ghetto youths under the NRM banner were taken advantage of.

“I was the one who encouraged ghetto youths to join NRM and proudly wear yellow T-shirts,” Buchaman stated, “but my ideas were stolen and other people were given my position.”
The artist’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with many Ugandans debating his comments and reflecting on the relationship between politics and entertainment in the country.
