David Williams Magezi, a youthful presidential candidate, has declared his intention to challenge President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the upcoming 2026 elections.
Magezi believes it is time for a fresh, young leader to take charge of Uganda, bringing new ideas and energy to the nation.
Magezi is confident that the Ugandan youth, who make up the largest portion of the country’s population, will rally behind him and support his vision for change.
He emphasizes that the country needs a leader who understands the challenges facing young people and can effectively address them.
“I am ready to unseat President Museveni, who has been in power for so long. The youth deserve a new and young president like myself,” Magezi declared.
As the election season approaches, all eyes will be on how Magezi plans to turn his youthful appeal into a strong political movement capable of challenging the long-serving incumbent.
