Former FUFA president and Vipers SC owner Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa has spoken out strongly about the ongoing conflicts between himself and the current FUFA administration regarding the new Uganda Premier League format.
In his remarks, Dr. Mulindwa emphasized that he plays a major role in sustaining Ugandan football, saying, “I don’t survive on Ugandan football, it’s Ugandan football that survives on me.”

He further expressed his disappointment with the current leadership under Hon. Moses Magogo, accusing them of ignoring the concerns of key stakeholders and fans.
Mulindwa stated clearly that he has no intention of returning to the league setup unless FUFA reconsiders its decisions and listens to the voices of the football community.

His statement has stirred reactions from football lovers across the country, many of whom see him as one of the pillars of modern Ugandan football.
Whether FUFA will respond to his demands remains to be seen, but one thing is clear Mulindwa’s influence on the game remains strong.
