Singer and UNMF President Eddy Kenzo has revealed that the leadership of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) is not permanent and is open to any interested artiste who wishes to lead in the future.
While speaking about his possible exit from the presidency, Kenzo explained that he is committed to stepping down once he achieves his key goals as leader.
“Once I accomplish what I set out to do, I will gladly give someone else the chance to lead” Kenzo said.
Progress Takes Time
Reflecting on his journey so far, the “Sitya Loss” hitmaker acknowledged that while some of his objectives have been achieved, others are still in progress.
“Rome was not built in a day. We’ve been able to lobby for some things, but they still need follow up to be fully implemented,” he added.
Kenzo’s leadership has brought attention to issues affecting musicians, including royalties, welfare, and industry unity, though the federation still faces ongoing challenges.
