
Renowned journalist and former NBS TV news anchor Zambali Brasio Mukasa has officially joined the National Unity Platform (NUP), Uganda’s leading opposition political party.
His move comes as part of his preparations to contest for the Nansana Municipality Member of Parliament seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
Zambali, who has earned a reputation for his eloquence and professionalism in the media space, announced his political ambitions with a pledge to serve the people of Nansana with integrity and transparency.

His entry into politics has already stirred interest among voters and political commentators, with many describing his candidacy as “a breath of fresh air.”
The NUP leadership welcomed him warmly, expressing confidence in his ability to represent the people effectively and push for meaningful change.
