Ugandan movie director John Ssegawa has openly criticized Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s recent Serena Hotel concert, questioning the choice of entertainment acts during the event.
Speaking on a podcast, Ssegawa expressed disapproval over Bugembe bringing on personalities like Kasuku and comedian Teacher Mpamire, as well as staging an acting scene during the show.

According to Ssegawa, these were “village things” better suited for Masaka rather than a high-end venue like Serena, which attracts an upscale audience.
“He did things in the wrong place,” Ssegawa remarked, suggesting that the approach failed to match the expectations of the sophisticated crowd in attendance.
