Respected vocalist Naava Grey has added her voice to the growing list of Ugandan artistes who have confirmed the use of juju (witchcraft) in the music industry.
Speaking during a recent media appearance, Naava revealed chilling experiences, including one involving a fellow artist whose career suddenly crumbled after receiving an envelope of money.
“The moment she got that envelope, it was the end of her career” Naava said. “There are so many strange things people do just to get ahead in this industry”
Juju in the Spotlight
Naava now joins singers like Grace Nakimera, Dan Flavor, and others who have openly claimed that
supernatural practices are being used by some musicians to gain fame, block others, or attract attention.
While many fans remain skeptical, some believe these revelations explain the sudden rise and fall of certain artistes in Uganda’s music scene.
