The 70th Kabaka Birthday Run has officially kicked off this morning at Bulange Mengo, drawing thousands of participants from across Uganda and beyond.
This iconic annual event, proudly sponsored by Airtel, remains one of the most anticipated and celebrated runs on the national calendar.
Marking His Majesty the Kabaka’s 70th birthday, this year’s edition saw a massive turnout as people from all walks of life gathered to run in solidarity, health awareness, and celebration of Buganda’s rich heritage.
Dressed in the official red kits, runners flooded the streets in joy and unity, creating a sea of color and excitement. As always, the Kabaka’s presence and blessing added immense value to the day, turning the event into a true celebration of culture and life.
