Former Ugandan presidential candidate Katumba John has announced his intention to contest again in the 2026 presidential elections, expressing renewed determination to secure the country’s top office.
Katumba, who gained popularity in the 2021 elections for his youthful energy and bold speeches despite being one of the least funded candidates, says he is more prepared this time and has learned important lessons from his past campaign.
“I am coming back in 2026, stronger and better” Katumba said.
“I still believe in a Uganda that works for everyone, especially the youth.
The mission is still onto sit on the first seat of the nation.”
