Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Sharifah Buzeki has announced the postponement of the upcoming festival initially scheduled for October 5.
The new date will now be October 12, following consultations with security agencies and other stakeholders.

The change comes as Uganda prepares to host the 63rd Independence Day celebrations on October 9 at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, the same venue that was meant to host the festival.
According to Buzeki, the decision was made to ensure smooth organization and security for both events without overlapping activities.
