A Kenyan woman, identified as Rosemary Maina Nyambura, has been remanded to Kigo Prison after being charged with stealing a passenger’s bag at Entebbe International Airport.
Maina appeared before the Entebbe Chief Magistrate’s Court, where she denied the charges. However, she was ordered to remain in custody until April 16, 2025, when her case will be mentioned again.
Authorities arrested Nyambura after CCTV footage allegedly captured her stealing the bag, leading to her immediate detention at the airport. The case has sparked discussions on security and passenger safety at Uganda’s main airport.
