Makerere University Guild President James Churchill Ssentamu, son of NUP mobilizer Nyanzi Fred Ssentamu, has announced his intention to contest for the Central Region Youth Member of Parliament seat.
In a recent interview, Churchill revealed that he is fully prepared to take on this new political challenge following what he described as a very successful guild leadership journey.
“I am more than ready for the next challenge after having a very successful guild campaign,” he said confidently.
His decision has already sparked excitement among young supporters within the National Unity Platform (NUP) and beyond, who believe his youthfulness, leadership experience, and family background make him a strong contender for the position.
If successful, Churchill Ssentamu will become one of the youngest MPs in the region, representing the voice of the youth at the national level.
