Celebrated Ugandan MC and media personality MC Kats has come out to express his frustration after being denied access to the UGX 1.8 billion that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently allocated to MCees.
Kats, who has been a key figure in Uganda’s entertainment industry for years, revealed that being sidelined from the fund has left him disappointed and questioning the value of his long service in the industry.
He went on to say that the experience has made him reflect deeply on his life in the spotlight. “Sometimes I feel like quitting this whole celebrity life,” he admitted, noting that the politics and divisions within the entertainment industry make it hard for genuine talent to thrive.
Despite his frustrations, MC Kats assured his fans that he remains passionate about the industry but emphasized that structural support and fairness are needed for entertainers to truly benefit.
