The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, has given Ssekajja Abdul Qadir, the new fiancé of singer Chosen Becky, just 12 hours to report to his office following serious allegations of defilement.
Speaking in an interview on Spark TV, Hon. Balaam revealed that Qadir is accused of impregnating a 16-year-old girl before abandoning her in a small rented house.
The minister stressed that such matters cannot be taken lightly and vowed to follow up until justice is served.
Qadir, a city cameraman, made headlines earlier this month after proposing to Chosen Becky, a mother of four.
However, news of these allegations has left many online “in-laws” shocked and amused, especially after reports claimed that Qadir had secretly been romantically involved with the singer for years while working under her.
The situation continues to stir debate on social media, with some questioning Chosen Becky’s choice of partner, while others await Qadir’s response to the minister’s ultimatum.
