The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadan Mubajje, has urged President Museveni to ban TikTok in Uganda, similar to the 2021 Facebook ban.
According to Mubajje, the social media platform is being misused by idle individuals who post content without restrictions or guidance.
He believes banning TikTok would help control the spread of inappropriate and misleading information.
It remains to be seen whether the government will take action on his request.
