In what is now being dubbed a “financial pilgrimage gone wrong” a group of Ugandan music promoters led by Abtex reportedly made their way to Gulu, hoping to secure financial support from Gen. Salim Saleh.
But instead of walking away with cash-filled envelopes, they were met with commando kicks and eviction orders.
Sources reveal that the self-proclaimed “Gulu squatters” had overstayed their welcome and were allegedly forcefully removed from the area, with some even claiming they received a dose of military-grade discipline from the guards protecting the General.
The incident has since sparked buzz online, with many wondering if the days of running to Gulu for quick money handouts are finally over.
