The iconic Nyege Nyege Festival has officially begun its landmark 10th edition, lighting up the banks of the River Nile at the new Adrift Overland Camp.
The four-day celebration opened on Thursday with electrifying energy as thousands of revelers gathered to experience one of Africa’s biggest music and cultural festivals.
This year’s edition features over 300 artists performing across six stages, including the popular Hakuna Kulala and Sunrise stages.
Organized by Talent Africa Group, Nyege Nyege continues to showcase its signature blend of traditional Ugandan sounds from regions like Karamoja fused with global electronic music.
Headliners such as Skrillex, Flowdan, and Uganda’s own Kampire are set to deliver unforgettable performances, with Skrillex taking the main stage on Friday.
Sponsors including the Uganda Tourism Board have enhanced the festival atmosphere with food courts, cultural exhibitions, and adventure activities.
The festival’s new permanent home along the Nile is expected to boost tourism, with attractions such as rafting and bungee jumping just steps away.
