President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has once again called out the opposition, accusing their Members of Parliament of abandoning the people after securing seats and salaries.
While addressing Ugandans at a recent event, the President didn’t hold back:
“You elected opposition members to Parliament who, after getting their salaries, don’t care about your issues”
Museveni’s statement comes at a time when criticism of government and opposition alike is rising, especially in rural areas where communities feel neglected and underrepresented.
Who’s Serving Who?
The President’s comments have stirred debate online, with some agreeing that opposition MPs focus more on politics than people, while others feel Museveni is trying to shift blame for ongoing national issues
