Celebrated Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi has opened up about the strained relationship between him and opposition leader Bobi Wine.
According to Salvado, the once close bond they shared soured after he chose to meet with President Yoweri Museveni.

“We are no longer that tight ever since my meeting with the President, and I understand,” Salvado revealed during a recent interview.
“He no longer responds to my messages and phone calls.”
Salvado went on to explain that the first signs of trouble came from Bobi Wine’s supporters, who expressed bitterness and disappointment towards him online, accusing him of betrayal.
“It’s actually his fans and followers who first expressed bitterness against me before he did,” he noted. “But I understand where it comes from.”

The comedian admitted that while the situation is unfortunate, he stands by his decision and respects the consequences that came with it.
The revelation has sparked conversations among fans and followers of both public figures, with some urging reconciliation, while others see it as a reflection of the deep political divisions in the country.
