Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has stated that 40 years is too short a time to fully develop a nation that was once struggling economically.
Speaking during Bukedde TV’s Akabbinkano program, Nabbanja praised the progress made under the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) but emphasized that real transformation requires a much longer period.
“Forty years is a very short time to develop a nation that was struggling economically.
We are thinking of NRM ruling for over 100 years, and Uganda will be developed,” Nabbanja said.
Her remarks have stirred discussion among Ugandans, with supporters echoing her call for continuity and critics questioning whether long-term political dominance is the best path to development.
