The Uganda Police Force has officially launched a manhunt for popular socialite and CEO of Skypins Tours and Travel, Christian Asiimwe, also known as Don Chris, over shocking allegations of fraud.
According to police reports, Don Chris is accused of defrauding over 100 Ugandans in a massive job scam involving fake promises of employment opportunities abroad a scheme that has reportedly cost victims more than UGX 500 million.
“We are actively hunting for Christian Asiimwe, who is currently on the run.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the nearest police station” authorities said.
From Travel CEO to Fugitive?
Once known for flaunting a lavish lifestyle and helping people “fly out” Don Chris is now accused of taking advantage of desperate job seekers looking to travel to countries like Canada, UAE, and Qatar.
Many victims claim they paid for visas, tickets, and processing fees, only to be left stranded with no jobs and no refunds.
The police have urged the public to stay cautious about suspicious travel agencies, especially during this period of high migration interest.
