President Paul Kagame’s youngest son, Brian Kagame, aged 24, has officially joined the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) after successfully completing his training at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
Brian now follows in the footsteps of his elder brother, Captain Ian Kagame, who was commissioned into the RDF in 2022 after completing the same military program.

The Kagame family continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to national service, with both sons now serving in Rwanda’s defense forces a move that reflects the President’s long-standing emphasis on discipline, patriotism, and leadership through example.
