Kenyan President H.E. William Ruto has responded to growing youth-led protests by urging demonstrators to follow constitutional processes instead of taking to the streets.
Amid nationwide unrest and chants demanding his resignation, Ruto told the youth to respect the law and wait for the next elections if they want change.
“You want to remove me? Use the Constitution,” Ruto said firmly. “Wait for me to finish my term. After that, you can vote for whoever you want.”
Youth Movement Growing
The protests, mainly driven by the younger generation, have rocked several parts of Kenya as frustration over leadership, economic pressure, and governance rises.
But Ruto insists that street protests are not the solution and that peaceful democratic processes must be respected.
