Online sensation turned TV presenter Pretty Nicole has voiced her concerns about the state of Uganda’s music industry, saying that most artists are focused on short-term fame instead of building sustainable careers.
While speaking on Baba TV, Pretty Nicole stated that many Ugandan musicians “don’t have a vision,” and that their approach to music is mostly about trending rather than longevity and growth.
“Ugandan musicians don’t have a vision, and their careers are mostly about trending. That’s why they are not crossing the boundaries. For example, people like Vyroota, Cindy Sanyu, Alien Skin, etc., have no plan at all,” she remarked.
She went on to criticize Alien Skin, claiming that the artist “misused his chance” when the public embraced him, only for him to start engaging in what she described as “unethical behavior.”

Nicole’s comments have sparked debate online, with some fans agreeing with her view on the need for professionalism and structure in Uganda’s music scene, while others accused her of being too harsh on established entertainers.
Regardless, her bold statements have once again placed her at the center of public attention proving that Pretty Nicole isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
