Western Uganda’s music scene just got a little heated, Musician Ray G has issued a stern warning to fellow singer Omega 256 over her decision to hold a concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval — one of Uganda’s biggest and most iconic venues.

According to Ray G, Omega should have sought approval before announcing a show at such a national level. Speaking during a press conference for Truth 256, Ray G made it clear that he believes he should have the final say on who gets to perform after Truth 256’s concert — taking a surprising swipe at Omega’s upcoming September 19th show.

Despite Omega 256 having supported three out of Ray G’s last four concerts, the self-proclaimed Western King insists on being recognized as the region’s decision-maker when it comes to major moves in the industry.
Is Ray G protecting the legacy, or just pulling rank? One thing’s for sure — all eyes are now on Omega 256 and her Lugogo Oval showdown.
