Ankole singing sensation Ray G has ignited a wave of support online after launching a heartfelt campaign to celebrate one of Uganda’s music legends — Dr. Jose Chameleone.
Ray G is calling on one million Ugandans to each contribute just 1,000 shillings, with the goal of raising 1 billion shillings. The funds, he says, would be a gift of appreciation to Chameleone for his remarkable contribution to Uganda’s music industry and for being a pioneer and pillar behind its growth and success.
The campaign, which has gained momentum across social media, is being hailed as a historic move to give flowers while the legend is still alive.
