According to reports, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has been re-elected as the President of the National Unity Platform (NUP).
The internal party elections also saw David Lewis Rubongoya retain his position as Secretary General, securing a second term in office as he continues to play a key role in shaping the party’s strategic direction.

In a closely followed contest for Party Spokesperson, Joel Ssenyonyi emerged victorious, defeating fellow Member of Parliament Allan Ssewanyana.
The new leadership team is expected to guide NUP as it prepares for the 2026 general elections, with a renewed focus on strengthening party structures and mobilizing support across the country.
