Upcoming Mbarara based artiste Robross Kanyankore has found himself in legal hot soup after his controversial rise to fame on TikTok.
Robross gained popularity by posting sensational videos in which he named and shamed several known public figures and celebrities, claiming they were HIV positive.
The provocative content quickly earned him a huge following online.
However, at the peak of his online fame, authorities arrested and detained him on charges of defamation and spreading false information.
Sources say he was thoroughly questioned and eventually broke down in remorse, admitting that he had no evidence to back his claims.

In a recorded apology, Robross stated:
“I was only chasing clout and followers. I deeply regret my actions and ask those I hurt to forgive me. I didn’t know it would go this far.”
The incident has sparked a heated debate online about the limits of free speech on social media, the ethics of content creation, and the dangers of misinformation, especially on sensitive health matters like HIV.
Authorities warn that such reckless behavior won’t be tolerated, and more creators may face legal consequences if they cross the line.
