Popular TikTok sensation Khaby Lame has voluntarily departed the United States after being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over a visa overstay.
The 25-year-old Italian citizen, who was born in Senegal, was reportedly held at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas for violating immigration regulations.
Khaby rose to global fame through his silent reaction videos on TikTok under the username @khaby.lame, and he currently boasts over 162.2 million followers.
He became an Italian citizen in 2022 and had traveled frequently to the U.S. for work and content creation.
However, the recent tightening of immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump’s administration appears to have affected his stay.
Khaby has since left the U.S. and is expected to continue his creative work from elsewhere. Fans worldwide are hoping the issue gets resolved soon so he can return.
