City businessman Hamis Kiggundu, popularly known as Ham, has ignored ongoing political battles involving Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), and instead taken matters into his own hands.
Ham launched a massive cleanup operation along the downstream section of the Nakivubo drainage channel, an area that had long been a hideout for thieves and a dumping site for garbage due to unresolved political wrangles.
The cleanup marks the beginning of what Ham describes as a transformative project aimed at modernizing and restoring the channel into a safe and productive space for city dwellers.
