The Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC), the body in charge of the National Theatre, is reportedly set to shut down the offices of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) over rent arrears.
Despite reportedly receiving financial support from Gen.Salim Saleh and the Ugandan government, UMA under the leadership of Phina Masanyalaze and singer Cindy Sanyu has allegedly failed to clear rent for nearly a year.
Sources indicate that the association is currently broke and has no concrete plan to settle its debts.

As a result, critical offices including that of the President and Secretary General have already been sealed off, with no access permitted.
This development leaves key figures like Cindy and Phina Masanyalaze without operational space, effectively rendering them jobless within the association.
