45-year-old legendary Ugandan singer Eddy Yawe has revealed that he is not yet ready to settle down in marriage, despite having fathered several children.
In a recent interview, Yawe explained that while he values love and companionship, he feels it’s important to take his time and find the right life partner, rather than rush into marriage for the sake of it.
He emphasized that choosing a lifelong partner requires deep reflection and emotional maturity.
The veteran artist, who is also known for his smooth vocals and contribution to Uganda’s music industry, confirmed that he has children with different women, most of whom are now at university level.

While he admits to maintaining romantic relationships, Yawe was clear that he is still on a journey of self-discovery and not under pressure to conform to societal expectations of marriage.
“I believe in love and family, but I also believe in timing and compatibility,” he said. “Until I find someone I truly connect with, I’ll continue living life with an open heart.”
His comments have sparked discussion online, with some praising his honesty and others urging him to consider settling down soon.
