Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has admitted that his party, the National Unity Platform (NUP), is facing serious financial struggles, contrary to claims that it receives secret funding from the government.
While addressing supporters earlier this week at the NUP headquarters, the party president boldly stated:
“We are the people’s party. We depend on you.”
He urged loyal supporters to participate in a fundraising drive set for next Monday, saying it’s the only way to keep the party’s vision alive and strong.
Gov’t Spending 30 Billion to Destroy Us?
Bobi Wine went further to accuse the government of allocating a shocking Shs30 billion to weaken NUP through bribes and infiltration.
“They are spending billions to fight us, but no amount of money can stop people who are determined,” he said passionately.
“We’re building a new Uganda that will be enjoyed by everyone”
The Struggle Continues
Despite the challenges, Bobi Wine reaffirmed the party’s unshakable spirit, vowing never to bow to pressure or sell out the dream of a free and fair Uganda.
