Mpaka Records boss Ykee Benda has joined the growing list of artistes expressing dissatisfaction with the leadership of Eddy Kenzo, the current president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
While addressing the media, Ykee Benda criticized Kenzo for allegedly using his position for personal gain.

He claimed that Kenzo recently recorded a song and presented it to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the name of the federation, without consulting or representing all artistes especially those who disagree with the President’s political views.

“This means Kenzo used his position to gain the favor of the President and made it look like all artistes are on the yellow side, which I totally disagree with,” Ykee Benda stated.
His remarks have stirred fresh debate within the Ugandan music industry, with many questioning the transparency and inclusiveness of UNMF’s leadership.
