Veteran musician Abdul Mulaasi has shocked many with revelations that he once served as a secret operative for the NRM government, even while enjoying fame in the Ugandan music scene.
In a recent interview, Mulaasi disclosed that he participated in the NRA bush war and remained active in state missions long after becoming a celebrity.

He explained that his association with the UPDF wasn’t just for image, but because he was carrying out intelligence work.
“Ask yourself why I always moved with a gang of UPDF,” he said. “I was undercover, even as a public figure, doing missions for the government, especially spying on musicians.”
His confession has sparked reactions online, with many expressing surprise at his double life.
