Burundi President Hosts Jose Chameleone, Singer Pledges Ultra-Modern Studio
Burundi President Gen. Evariste Ndayishimiye on December 15 hosted Ugandan music legend Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Jose Chameleone, at the Mwami Ntare Rushatsi Palace, Burundi’s State House.
According to a statement shared by the Burundi Presidency on social media, President Ndayishimiye received the celebrated Ugandan artist, who visited to present his projects aimed at empowering Burundian youth. Among the key proposals was the establishment of an ultra-modern music studio, intended to nurture talent and support creative arts in the country.

“H.E. Evariste Ndayishimiye received the very famous Ugandan singer artist Jose Chameleone at Kwa Ntare Rushatsi Palace. The artist had come to present to the Champion of African Youth his projects for the Burundian youth, including the establishment of an ultramodern studio,” the presidency posted.
Sources close to the singer reveal that Chameleone is exploring business opportunities in Burundi, a country where he enjoys a strong fan base and growing interest. The move signals possible cultural and creative industry collaborations between the Ugandan star and Burundi in the near future.
