Gospel singer Denis Lanek, who also serves as the President of Gospel Artistes in Uganda, was left deeply disappointed after his recent concert suffered a low turnout.
In a moment that touched many, Lanek paused during his performance, glanced around the venue filled with empty seats, and openly expressed his dismay.
Visibly heartbroken, he questioned why churches hadn’t supported the event despite his efforts to uplift gospel music in the country.

Lanek pointed out that if each church had contributed just 100 attendees, the situation would have been different. He called upon the church community to stand with gospel artistes, emphasizing that unity and support are key to the growth of the gospel industry.
His message now serves as a wake-up call for deeper collaboration between the church and gospel musicians in Uganda.
