Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, Starlink, is preparing to launch its services in Uganda very soon. According to the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, the internet service will cost approximately $449 for the initial setup.
Starlink, known for providing fast and reliable internet even in remote areas, is expected to be a game-changer for Uganda’s internet industry.

Once operational, it could bring strong competition to local providers like MTN and Airtel, especially with its promise of affordable, high-speed connectivity in rural regions.
Many Ugandans are already expressing excitement about the potential impact of Starlink on business, education, and everyday internet access.
